The 30-second answer

Three comparisons put the market in perspective

These are not identical products or quotes. They show why size, motorization, and included service matter more than a headline price.

Public retail examples
Base price + add-ons

Retail headline prices can be incomplete

Many online listings begin with a small default size and basic configuration. Larger dimensions, motor and control upgrades, fabric choices, installation, and smart-home setup can raise the final total.

Installed manual starting prices are $349 for Light-Filtering Roller, $399 for Blackout Roller, $349 for Zebra Blinds, $399 for Honeycomb Shades, $449 for Roman Shades and $449 for Shangri-La Sheer Shades.

These six manual products use the same size tiers as their motorized versions. Manual shades do not qualify for motorized promotions or whole-home motor packages. Dual-Motor Roller remains motorized only. Manual pricing for Drapery Sheer, Vertical Shade and Deluxe Curtains is unchanged.

Width costs more than height in our published schedule. Here are two examples using the $449 Signature light-filtering roller.

Why quotes vary

Four things move motorized-blind pricing

Major sellers and manufacturers consistently point to the same core variables.

Window size

More material, longer tubes, and larger hardware increase cost.

Style & fabric

Roller, zebra, honeycomb, Roman, Shangri-La, dual-motor, Drapery Sheer, Vertical Shade, opacity, and fabric selection all matter.

Motor & controls

Remote, app, voice, bridge, hub, and automation options can change the total. TDBU or Day & Night honeycomb systems and TDBU Roman systems add $100 because they use a second motor.

Included service

Measure, installation, programming, testing, and warranty are not bundled the same everywhere.

Pricing-factor methodology is consistent with official guidance from Hunter Douglas and the motorized-buying guidance on Blinds.com.

$5,000

Standard motorized shades count as 1 qualifying credit; a motorized Drapery Sheer or Vertical Shade counts as 3 for the 5- and 8-credit percentage tiers. The $5,000 whole-home package can be 10 motorized shades; 7 motorized shades plus 1 motorized Drapery Sheer or Vertical Shade; or 4 motorized shades plus 2 motorized Drapery Sheers or Vertical Shades. Standard packaged shades include sizes up to 4 ft wide by 5 ft high. Most residential windows are less than 4 ft / 48 inches wide. Normal width- and height-increment differences are added above those package limits. Packaged Drapery Sheer or Vertical Shade openings include up to 6 ft wide by 7 ft high, with normal $150 width and $80 height increments above those limits. Smart Tuya Wi-Fi motors are hardwired only; battery motors are remote-controlled only, and neither option is Matter-compatible. The optional LED Light Cassette adds $100. Eligible products outside the $5,000 package continue at 20% off regular installed pricing, the highest percentage discount offered before the $5,000 package. Two-motor Honeycomb and Roman systems add $100; Dual-Motor Rollers add $200. One complimentary compatible Alexa hub is available with a qualifying package when needed; clients keeping a compatible existing hub receive connection help instead. One hub per qualifying package; no cash substitute. Packages do not combine.

Quick answers

Four cost questions worth asking

Why can an online starting price look much lower?
Starting prices may use a small default size, a sale price, or a different motor/control configuration. Compare the same dimensions, shade style, motorization, and included service before comparing totals.
What is included in a BLINDS100 installed price?
In-home measurement, custom manufacturing, professional installation, smart-home setup and testing, and the included 5-year local warranty. Optional add-ons remain optional.
Can I see fabrics before choosing?
Yes. We bring physical catalogue books and fabric samples to your home so you can compare color, texture, and opacity in your own lighting.
How do I get the exact price for my windows?
Book a free in-home measurement. We measure each window, review style and fabric choices, and confirm the exact price before anything is ordered.
