Make one opening list

Give each window or door a room name and number. Add its main problem, the way it opens, nearby furniture and whether it is easy to reach. Photos help explain the space, but final manufacturing dimensions still need to be confirmed at the home.

Rank the rooms by need

• Prioritize a bedroom with unwanted light, a street-facing room that lacks privacy or a desk affected by glare.
• Separate must-haves from appearance preferences and optional automation.
• If the work will happen in phases, say which rooms need to be completed together.
• Use the same opening list for every quote so quantities and scope remain comparable.

Coordinate without making every shade identical

Rooms can share a color family while using different opacity or construction. For example, a living room may need softer daylight while a bedroom needs an opaque fabric. A wide door may need a different mechanism from the fixed windows beside it. Compare physical samples together before confirming the selections.

Plan the controls as a household

Motorize where reach, frequency or grouping makes it useful. Manual controls can remain on suitable reachable windows. Decide which shades should move together, who needs simple local operation and how charging or power will be reached. Confirm the exact equipment required for any smart routines.

Approve one clear scope

The quote should identify each opening, product, fabric, mount, control and installed cost, along with applicable tax and any eligible offer. Record exclusions and the schedule for each phase. Use the quote checklist and keep the approved version with your order.
